Tamzin Jordans is the Director and founder of Nursery Notes her main aim was to allow children to experience and have hands on interactions with a wide variety of instruments at an early age all whilst learning the language of music. Tamzin is now about to embark on a new chapter in the life of Nursery Notes, bringing the program to South Australia.
“My daughter really enjoyed herself and kept on asking me for more, I thought that she was very lucky to have exposure to all the instruments and I thought back to my own early childhood and wished I’d had the same exposure.”
Tamzin started teaching at her daughter’s childcare, and was able to reach out to more and more childcare centres as news of the program spread. Tamzin has been teaching her Nursery Notes program since 2001, and has been able to draw on her experiences, using continuous improvement, to create a music program that fully utilises all areas of a child’s learning ability and immerses children into the exciting world of music.
Tamzin’s husband is a recently retired Defence member and with each new posting was able to take her dream job with her allowing her to share the joy of music with many more people. Tamzin and Jake have chosen to settle in Adelaide and are looking forward to the new and exciting challenges ahead.
The success of her tried and tested programs for 2-5 Years Music Matters and the 5-7 Years Music Express, has led to strong public demand for additional programs for 0 – 2 Years Music for Baby and Me (still under development) and also a 7-9 Year Music Fundamentals (for children who still have not yet had any exposure to music, but are craving to play).
Tamzin Jordans' dreams of being able to reach out to children all around Australia, teaching them the language of music in fun and interactive classes.
